An Emmy-nominated writer, Dewayne’s most recent writing credits include writer and co-executive producer on Amazon’s upcoming animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia, writer and co-executive producer of Disney+’s Hip Hop Nutcracker, and many more including Saved By The Bell (Peacock), The Amber Ruffin Show (Peacock), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC), The Break with Michelle Wolf (Netflix), Undressed (MTV), and The 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, where a joke he wrote was named one of the best jokes of 2018 by the New Yorker.
On the film side, Dewayne just sold "Homecoming" to Sony, an HBCU Comedy to be written by Dewayne, Kevin Garnett and Tracy Oliver (Girl's Trip, First Wives Club). Dewayne is also currently writing the feature film adaption of the Comedy Central Digital short "The Blackening," which he wrote for his comedy collective 3Peat. It's being developed by MRC Film and The Story Company, and co-written with Tracy Oliver.
